We have just come back from a good trip to the German Open. On the
Saturday Zoe entered the ladies tournament where Zoe just had one of
those games and never really got going and lost 3-0.
So she put a few hours practice in to prepare for the youth darts
tournament the next day. On the Sunday Zoe arrived at the venue ready to
put yesterday’s performance behind her. The tournament was a double
knock out so even if you lose you still have a chance of winning the
competition.
First round Zoe had to play Germanys number 2 Asaria H- Oehme, Zoe
started well but just couldn't find the finishing double and before she knew
it she was 2-0 down, but with her never say die attitude battled back to 2-
2 and in a good final leg Zoe left double 16 but unfortunately didn’t get a
shot.
All was not lost though she was still in with a chance and after playing 4
more match's she had made to the Quarter Finals and a rematch with
Asaria H-Oehme. To go through to the semi final though Zoe would have
to beat her twice over 2 games of the best of five 501.The first match
went exactly the same as the first round down 2-0 after having 9 darts and
3 darts to win the games. But yet again with her confidence sky high she
started the deciding leg with several ton + and hat left 17 after 18 darts
and with Asaria trailing on 233, but sadly after hitting the 20 twice and the
18 once going for a 1 to leave her favourite double 8 it just wasn't to be
just clipping the wire five times to take it to another best of 5 match.
forward to playing Asaria when Zoe plays for England in July.
