Prestatyn, Wales
16th – 18th May (Sunday)This was the biggest tournament Zoë had entered with 541 entries since
she picked a dart up just under a year a go and what a day it was.
Zoë was drawn in group 3 with some good players on her board.
The plan was to take every game as it came but if things went well she could meet a good friend that she has got to know in Karen Lawman!!
1st Round
Zoë had Great start to the day scoring very well and was in control from the first leg.
2nd Round
Zoë 3 Geraldine Carney 2
This was a cracking game of darts where both players played some really good darts where every leg went against thethrow. Zoë clocking out 92 to win the match.
3rd Round
Zoë 3 Lorna Roddie 0
This was a convincing 3-0 win for Zoë and once again played great darts.
4th Round
Zoë 3 Sue Lewis 1
This was another good game of darts, where a place in the last 32 was up for grabs. With Zoë’s constant high scoring and good finishing she went on to earn her place in the last 32. Board Final
Zoë had worked hard all day and did get to play the player she had hoped for at the beginning of the day, Karen Lawman who is currently 9th in the WDF World Ranking. WHAT A GAME!Karen having the darts she took the first leg in 18 darts. Zoë then taking the 2nd leg in 15 darts with
scores of 100, 100, 84,100,117 game shot.
The 3rd leg Karen had left 16 after 18 darts and Zoë needing to finish the 96 she had left after 15
darts but it wasn’t to be - Zoë’s first dart went straight in treble 20 only for the next two darts to be the width of the wire away from hitting double 18. Karen went on to finish the leg and the 4th leg to win 3-1
All in all it was a fantastic end to a great week end of darts picking up another 10 World Ranking Points.
