Youth Friendship Trophy  

This was Zoë first taste of playing in a team event after being selected to play for the Northern Youth Team in the Youth Friendship Trophy.

The teams that were competing are

Northern Youth
Scotland
Republic of Ireland
Northern Ireland

With some of the best under 21 Youth players around Great Britain in attendance!

The teams consisted of 3 girls and 12 boys all playing the best of 3 legs 501, girls to play in games 1, 6, 11.

First game for Northern Youth was against Scotland and Zoe was drawn out to play the first game against Gemma Grice and got the Northern Youth off to a flying start with an impressive 20.88 average and a 2-0 win and getting the lady of the match award. 

The Second game was against the Republic of Ireland Zoe being drawn out to play eleventh this time playing against Gemma Keogh and with the game poised at 5-5 it was going to be tense game and it was Gemma and Zoe playing some Great darts Zoe running out the 2-1 winner with an 18.96 average and another lady of the match award.  

The third and final game was against Northern Ireland and with two wins from two for the Northern Youth Team another victory would secure the Youth Friendship Trophy, and it would be retained by the Northern Youth Squad.

This time Zoe was drawn out to play sixth against Beverly Rainey and Zoe made it a treble wins by winning 2-0 with a 16.16 average and getting her third the lady of the match award. 

This was a well organized event and we would like to thank Barry and the NYDO Committee for all there hard work and of course all the youth players that made such a great weekend of darts.
