ZOE “THE PINK PANTHER” JONES
FIRST EXHIBITION NIGHT
Zoe’s first Exhibition was held on Saturday 28th February 2009, at her local sponsors, Redditch Trades & Labour Club.
It was played upstairs in the function room, where the club had just built a new stage to hold such events and future darts competitions. The room that holds about 120 people was perfect and with 96 people there wasn't a shortage of dart players to take her on.
Zoe played two sessions playing 701 x 1 leg per player,
In the first session Zoe played 9 games against the following players.
· Dave “The Rave” Yates
· Nick “Happy” Evans
· Gail “Avon Calling” Reynolds
· Annie “Easy Ride” Ryder
· Greg “The Wedge” Lynch
· Mandy “The Presser” Morgan
· Peter “Cookie” Cook
· Helen “Give me your Tie” Cooke
· Sue “Super Nan” Stringer
Zoe played Top class darts winning all 9 games.
In the interval we held a raffle, I would like to thank all the people who generously gave prizes, we had that many, it took nearly an hour to give all the prizes out!!
With the night pressing on and a growing list of people wanting to play Zoë, the second Session got underway.
· Mark “Birthday Boy” Luscott
· Kevin “Soft Lad” Beard
· Alan “Spaghetti” Weston
· Emma “The B---h” Dawson
· Stuart “Smiler” Weston
· Phil “No: 1 Fan” Clarke
· Lou “Diamond Doll” Graham
· Ellie “The Groupie” Hopkins
· Matt “Leggy” Jones
· Mick “Salad Dodger” Lydon
· Henry “The Stinger” Stringer
· Steph “Mine’s a Double” Smee
The Exhibition was rounded off with a great game of darts between Zoë and Steph Smee, playing best of 3 x 501, Zoë coming out the 2-0 Winner.
After an exhausting night for Zoë playing a total of 22 legs of darts, winning 18 and only loosing 4(winners in bold) with scores of 36 x 100+ 16 x 140 and 5 x 180’s and also recording some impressive averages of (25.03) (25.96) (26.96) (28.04) (29.20 x 2) (30.47) (31.86) (33.38).
For a 16 year old Zoë had put on a fantastic display of darts for all that attended.
I would like to thank the MC for the night Simon Bromhead, Graham Evans for marking all her games, The Redditch Trades and Labour Club, and everyone who came to show their support for Zoe’s first Exhibition.
