ZOE JONES DARTS RESULTS SCOTLAND OPEN 2008

With not many Youth tournaments going on I have taken Zoe to some ladies opens starting with the Scotland Open to gain some experience. Where I must say she looked quite at home with the big names in ladies darts. The first round was against Sigridur Jonsdottir (Iceland) where Zoe lost the first leg only to come back strong with some great darts to win 3-1,I think that game gave her the belief she can compete with some of the best ladies.
This clearly showed in round two where she came up against Irene Hogarth. Zoe had legs of 17 darts 24 darts and Irene 18 darts and 21 darts, but the most impressive was the fifth and final leg where Zoe hit a 150 game shot 15 darter to win the match with an average of 24.78.
The next round (board semi) Zoe came up against an on form Anne Kirk where again some top darts were thrown, after two legs it was all square but then Anne threw a 14 and 17 dart legs to win 3-1. All in all it was a great performance by Zoe picking up 6 world ranking points in her first ranking tournament.
